Quinta de Ramozeiros Red 2012
The Quinta de Ramozeiros Red 2012 is a very good example of the Ramozeiros lineage. It is an intense and deep ruby in colour, letting powerful notes of ripe fruit impress your nose, together with some esteva, (a typical endogenous plant). It has a strong complex body, where you sense the jammed fruit, the tannins being gradually more and more softened in the bottle, the oak already integrated, just slightly showing at the end. On the whole a beautiful promising and surprising wine day after day.

HISTORY OF THIS WINE
The climate conditions of the year 2013-2014 were certainly a lot responsible for the harvest as it was. This was an atypical year with an average precipitation similar to previous years but differently distributed in time and on top of it there was unstability in what comes to temperature. January was not the coldest month neither August was the hottest, which means an undulating different weather curve. Despite all these natural variable conditions, we can´t complain about the obtained levels of sugar, acidity and phenolic compounds.
Also important to mention the great attention and care we put in all steps of the vineyard work, mostly done by hand, the care we have in selecting the grapes while harvesting, the care we have in respecting natural rythms and using environmentally friendly procedures.
